STORAGE MANAGER

He / She ensures the delivery of goods in accordance with delivery orders.

Skills
  • Basic knowledge of English vocabulary specific to air freight,
  • Hold a valid (<5 years) Certificate of Competence for Safe Driving (CACES 3 mandatory),
  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Security,
  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Handling Dangerous Goods,
  • Knowledge of the use of a Portable Data Entry Terminal (PDE),
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
Key missions
  • To check the physical condition of packages for delivery to customers,
  • To match the delivery orders with the packages to be delivered,
  • To invoice additional services depending on the goods (dangerous goods, cold storage unit, animal storage unit, use of forklift, oversized goods, safes),
  • To ensure that the necessary tools are available for the activity,
  • To ensure a continuous service in order to guarantee timely delivery,
  • To organise the distribution of delivery orders to handlers depending on customers’ arrivals,
  • To organise the removal of perishable packages and priority goods,
  • To accompany clients to collect live animals from the animal storage unit.

FORKLIFT OPERATOR

He/she is responsible for receiving freight on the delivery platforms, weighing, passing through security control and palletising the packages. He/she carries out the sorting, zoning, weighing and delivery of processed goods to the cargo terminal. He/she ensures the same quality of service which applies across all services of the Roland Garros Airport, both with customers (freight forwarders, carriers, and private individuals), authorities (Customs, French Civil Aviation Authority, Air Transport Police) and internal services.

  • Basic knowledge of English vocabulary specific to air freight,
  • Hold a valid (<5 years) Certificate of Competence for Safe Driving (CACES 3 mandatory),
  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Security (initial training C 03),
  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Handling Dangerous Goods,
  • Knowledge of the use of a Portable Data Entry Terminal (PDE),
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
Key missions
  • To ensure all air cargo handling operations are in compliance with the legal framework and with airlines' specifications,
  • To carry out the unloading of aircraft pallets: to receive, handle and zone the packages,
  • To carry out the packaging and palletising,
  • To ensure the routing of cargo from known shippers or authorised agents situated in the ‘Runway Zone’,
  • To store parcels by using scanners to indicate the zoning area depending on parcel types and/or delivery requirements.

GOODS HANDLER / SCANNER

He/she is responsible for receiving freight on the delivery platforms, weighing, passing through security control and palletising the packages. He/she carries out the sorting, zoning, weighing if necessary, as well as the delivery and recording of data relating to the parcels.

  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Handling Dangerous Goods,
  • Hold a Certificate of Competence for Palletising and Storage,
  • Knowledge of the use of a Portable Data Entry Terminal (PDE),
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
Key missions
  • To ensure all air cargo handling operations are in compliance with the legal framework and with airlines' specifications,
  • To process and arrange for the processing of parcels depending on the delivery requirements, as indicated by the storage managers and workers,
  • To supervise the work of handlers,
  • To welcome and provide initial training to temporary workers,
  • To carry out the unloading of aircraft pallets: to receive, handle and zone the packages,
  • To carry out the packaging and palletising,
  • To evaluate parcel quantities and quality,
  • To enter, download and edit computer data using the PDE (Portable Data Entry Terminal),
  • To ensure the routing of cargo from known shippers or authorised agents situated in the ‘Runway Zone’.
