Measures for arrivals in Reunion Island

All travelers to Reunion Island:

End of the « vaccine pass »

As of the 1st  August 2022, no proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid infection will be requested (neither vaccination certificate nor proof of recovery).

Travel health certificate

The bill distinguishes two cases in which the government may, until the 31st March 2023, require travellers over 12 years of age to present a negative Covid test on departure or arrival to mainland France or the overseas territories:

  • To mainland from all countries: in the event of the emergence of a dangerous variant, likely to constitute a serious health threat,
  • To overseas territories  from mainland: in case of risk of saturation of the hospitals.

These measures, taken after the committee's opinion, may be put into effect by decree for a maximum period of two months, and are subject to a vote by Parliament after this period.

In case of lost or damaged luggage on arrival - Lost / forgotten items on the plane go to Airline Baggage Services located in the first baggage reclaim area near the washrooms or call the Airline :

Accessibility and assistance to disabled or reduced mobility passengers

PHMR adapted facilities at the airport

  • Adapted places, access and facilities
  • Reserved parking spaces near to the terminal
  • Phone booths, toilets, lifts,
  • Disabled access to the Reception and Information desk, shops, bars and restaurants

In accordance with European regulations, assistance for disabled passengers and those with reduced mobility is now provided by the company OSR, a service provider of SA Aéroport de La Réunion Roland Garros.

Notice :  Passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility have to contact  their airline or travel agency to make arrangements for their arrival at the airport.

What specific cleaning measures are currently in place in the terminal buildings?

Nettoyage aérogare spécial Covid 19

New means have been deployed to ensure the hygiene of all areas and facilities.

Cleaning has been increased, and all contact surfaces are regularly disinfected using a virucide product.

A team of cleaning staff is dedicated to disinfecting at-risk areas and surfaces throughout all areas used by passengers: on arrival and departure of each flight, at car park pay stations, check-in desks, terminal seats, lifts, e-gates, border police booths, cabin baggage drop-off bins, departure lounge seats, toilets and trolleys.

Can I withdraw cash at the airport ?

2 cash dispensers (Crédit Agricole & Société Générale) are available on the outer forecourt, next to the arrivals exit and opposite the taxi rank.

They are both in the public area. There are no cash dispensers after the security checks in the boarding area.

Have you found an item at the airport?

Register it with the Park/Lost items service.

Responsible for collecting lost items in the public area up to the airport's Inspection screening(PIF), the Park/Lost items Service offers its professionalism 7 days a week, during the entire opening hours of the terminal.

The Park/Lost items service is located outside the terminal (white building) in front of arrivals door.
